Pinhole - Garbage Cams

Mon. April 29, 2024 - Wed. May 15, 2024

Disability Accommodations

Equal Opportunity Institution. 24+ hours advance notice is appreciated for accommodations.

This exhibition explores the rich history of pinhole photography, and the students of Art 370 (B&W Photography) and 373 (Photography Alternative Processes) are proud to feature their experiments in the process. Pinhole involves the absolute fundamentals of image making – using everyday objects to capture, transform, interpret and distort scenes around us. Each student gathered materials and constructed cameras out of oatmeal tins, film canisters, and even a traffic cone. They produced images using light sensitive paper to create unique compositions with their handmade cameras.
