Seattle artist Katy Stone discusses her immersive installations which often incorporate painted, cut, and layered elements that accumulate and appear to spill onto the floor or cascade across walls in swathes of vibrant color. Stone will discuss the conceptual motivations behind her work as well as present her forthcoming site-specific installation she will be installing at the Whatcom Museum this month as part of the exhibition Colorfast: Vivid Installations Make Their Mark.
