Berlin Art Now 2017 global study info session

15 days abroad (June 25 - July 9, 2017 in Europeʼs most exciting city for the arts. Join Western faculty artist Sebastian Mendes and visiting Berlin artist Werner Klotz for two weeks in Berlin. Meet contemporary artists in their studios for workshops and discussions. Visit Berlinʼs greatest museums, contemporary art galleries and site-specific artworks via your own bicycle. Students will have access to a large centrally located studio for hands-on projects, presentations and discussions. Youʼll have the opportunity (though not a requirement) to exhibit your work in Berlin.

HIGHLIGHTS
+ Visit world class contemporary and historic painting, sculpture collections.
+ Attend workshops with internationally recognized sound artist Christina Kubisch as well as installation artist Christian Hasucha.
+ Tour Berlin architecture with renowned local architect Christof Seifert.
+ Visit Sanssoucci: Germanyʼs Versailles.
+ During your visit in Berlin youʼll live in Kreuzberg, the cityʼs exciting artistsʼ quarter. From there youʼll make daily visits to galleries, museums, monuments and insta llations throughout Berlin.
