Contemporary Shibori Workshop by Seiko Purdue

Seiko A. Purdue is Associate Professor in the Art & Art History Department and the organizer of the Coded Threads exhibition and symposia. She will give a workshop on Heat Transfer technique (Sublimation), using polyester fabric, disperse dyes, and a heat press machine. The colors and textures are transferred to fabric simultaneously; both two-dimensional applications and three dimensional shibori (tie-dyeing) pieces can be explored.
