Program

Featuring "Oh, but if we only knew. I wonder" choreographed by guest artist Marlo Martin

"Oh, but if we only knew. I wonder.” choreographed by Marlo Martin in collaboration with the WWU dancers is an exploration into the witnessing of others, our attachments to perception, and the ways in which we navigate energy while in the midst of others.

A vast conceptual work investigating assumption based on appearance and the false reality many humans inhabit throughout their lives. As the work evolves the dancers explore ways of breaking through these attachments to experience moments of passion, joy, turbulence, anger, and wonder.

Their once narrow world broadens altering the dynamic flow and energy exchange amongst them. The world the dancers craft is a beautifully complicated tapestry of honesty, freedom, release, throwing, bouncing, knowing, learning, loving, caring, fulfillment, humanity, breath, width, lungs, stretching around inner pressure to find relief and exhale.

The work culminates as the dancer’s bodies become hyper aware, present, and accepting.
