Porcelain War has won Doctober's Audience Award and it will return for one more screening on Saturday, November 2 at 3:45 p.m.

At the outset of Russia’s war against Ukraine, news footage was filled with people fleeing the country to safety. Some folks, however, chose to stay behind, among them a trio of artists, Slava, Anya, and Andrey. Living mere minutes from where opposing armies are engaged in battle, the trio lives and creates, determined to continue to make their world a more beautiful, less fearful place. A story of resilience and the power of art.

Directed by Slava Leontyev and Brendan Bellomo. At the Saturday, October 5 screening, the filmmakers and artists will be present.

Presented with the Pickford Film Center as part of the Doctober Series.

  • The full Doctober program will go online September 6.
  • Tickets are available September 13 for Pickford Film Center members, and September 20 for general public.
  • Group sales may be arranged prior to September 20.
