Music and Lyrics by Cole Porter
Book by Sam and Bella Spewack
Egotistical impresario Fred Graham casts his tempestuous leading-lady ex-wife Lilli Vanessi as the star of his production of The Taming of the Shrew: the Musical. Enter a couple of hitmen on the prowl, an identity dodge over an exorbitant gambling debt, and a smoldering backstage romance, and the situation reaches a boiling point that is simply “Too Darn Hot!”
