A lecture by the master carver Jewell Praying Wolf James, who selected, designed, and carved the healing totem pole that will be part of the National Library of Medicine’s Native Voices exhibition. James is more than an artist of international standing, he is the head of the House of Tears Carvers and a long-time leader of the Lummi Indian Nation. James also is a forceful advocate for worldwide environmental restoration and preservation.

Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. / Saturday 12 - 4 p.m.
