Margaret (MJ) Chapel is a junior at Western Washington University pursuing a degree in flute performance under instructor Mehrdad Gholami. While attending Western, she has been involved in numerous ensembles including Western Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Western Winds, Flute Choir, Symphonic Band, University Choir, and several other small chamber groups.
Margaret thoroughly enjoys being surrounded by music and is working towards a career of full-time performance in a professional orchestra, private teaching, and other avenues such as instrument repair.
Outside of practicing and performing, MJ enjoys films, reading, live music, and skiing!
