Marley Long (2000)
Marley Long was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up on the Colorado Plateau in Flagstaff, Arizona. Marley has always had an affinity for music and nature. At age eleven she began her journey as a flutist, and at sixteen she began formally studying with Dr. Emily Hope at Northern Arizona University. Over the past 14 years, her life has been enriched by formal and informal ensemble, and solo musical expression. Marley transferred from Olympic College in 2022 to pursue her Bachelor’s in Music Education K-12 which she will graduate with in December of 2025. Upon graduation, Marley hopes to stay in the Pacific Northwest and continue finding pathways that encourage musical expression and development
Pepin [Peps] Winchester (2002)
Peps Winchester was born in Pasco, Washington, spending their childhood between the east and west side of the state, bridged by the beautiful Snoqualmie Pass. In 2020, Peps Winchester graduated from Oak Harbor High School, Whidbey Island Washington, spending their years of schooling invested in music and education. Peps started the flute in 5th grade having been gifted the instrument by their grandmother after showing great interest in music in their young childhood. Peps was often singing and turning any object into a drum if it could be managed. Peps joined band in 6th grade under the direction of Dr. Andy Judd and graduated under the direction of Mr. Brandon Nelson. They were accepted into the flute studio at Western Washington University for the fall of 2020, supported by private teachers Maegan Koorn and Kimberly Breilein. Peps has continued their studies under the direction of Lisa McCarthy, Mehrdad Gholami, Paul Bain and Patty Bourne studying both the flute and music education. Peps hopes to spread the joy of music, and education while continuing to develop their own musicality throughout their travels.
