A musical journey from Bach to Florence Price through the works of Fanny Hensel, Clara and Robert Schumann, and Liszt

This piano recital will offer a poetic musical journey from Bach’s Choral “I Call on You, Herr Jesus Christ” to Nocturnal song without words by Fanny Mendelssohn, Romances for solo piano by Clara Wieck-Schumann, Variations on the name ABEGG by Robert Schumann, Sarcasms explorations by Sergei Prokofiev and Ballade based on the Greek myth of Hero and Leander by Franz Liszt, ending with Florence Price’s Fantasie negre based on the African spiritual “Sinner, please, don’t let this Harvest Pass”.
