Rachel Reid will perform her junior violin recital featuring works by Amy Beach and Astor Piazzolla, in collaboration with Rebecca Manalac and Professor Eli Schille-Hudson.
Rachel is in her third year in the music program, where she studies with Dr. Laura Camacho. She is pursuing her bachelor's degree in violin performance and a minor in Arts Enterprise and Cultural Innovation. Rachel began her violin studies with the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra and continued to develop her skills at Tacoma School of the Arts and under private instruction from Gayane Grigoryan. During her time at Western, Rachel has enjoyed participating in Western's Symphony Orchestra, String Sinfonia, and chamber music, where her quartet has performed together for three years.
