Sophia Mabrouk, in collaboration with Rachel Roulet, will perform a virtual junior recital featuring works by Britten, Mozart, Rossini, and Dell’Acqua.

Soprano Sophia Mabrouk is in her third year of her Vocal Performance degree at Western Washington University. She has studied with voice professors Eric Rieger and Mark Davies while at WWU. Sophia has participated in a wide variety of large and small ensembles, including Concert Choir, Viking Vocal Jazz, and Western Voices in her time here, leading the Soprano 2 and Alto 2 sections in University treble choir and Advanced Treble Choir, respectively. Sophia has also received recognition in multiple scholarship awards.
She has been on the Opera Club board as President and Seattle Opera Correspondent for two years. Sophia participated in WWU’s Opera Scenes both in 2019 and 2020. She has also recently had the honor of participating in guest masterclass with Kathleen Kelly, and Opera Club’s Aria competition. She had the opportunity to participate in multiple opera productions at WWU and regional operas such as the Pacific Northwest Opera.
