The Western Washington University String Sinfonia brings 2018 to a close with an eclectic program of masterworks for string orchestra. Opening the second half is Entr’acte, a new work by Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw, followed by Ottorino Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, a virtuosic re-imagining of Renaissance lute music for strings.
