Western’s String Sinfonia presents a broadcast performance of a vivid and eclectic program by the early Baroque master Marc-Antoine Charpentier, pioneering Black American composer Nathaniel Dett, and one of the titans of Japanese orchestral music, Yasushi Akutagawa. Interspersed between performances will be student interviews discussing the composers and their works.
