The Western Washington University Symphony Orchestra revives its 2015 costumed and fully-staged rendering of Sergei Prokofiev’s beloved musical tale, Peter and the Wolf. Featuring choreography by WWU Dance professor Pam Kuntz, the members of the orchestra actually portray the characters in the story while playing their instruments: a disapproving grandfather grumbles through his bassoon while a giant wolf made of three French horns menacingly circles the duck with her oboe. You have never seen or heard anything like this!
 
With a running time of 30 minutes, Peter and the Wolf is the perfect Friday evening entertainment for families and children of all ages. The performance is ticketed, with proceeds going to support the WWU Symphony’s 2023 Spain Tour.
