Fifth Inversion wants you

The five members of the professional woodwind quintet Fifth Inversion are teaching faculty of the Music Department at Western. Leading studios in flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn, each member of the quintet meets with wind students in private music lessons to improve technique and musicianship.

The quintet members bring a wealth of knowledge and relationships from orchestras, camps, conservatories, and industry groups such as: Montreal Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, WMEA, Backun Musical, Boston University School of Music, Interlochen, Northwestern University, Crystal Records, Empire Brass Quintet, Pheonix Opera, Maritime Conservatory of Music, Seattle Symphony, and Pacific Northwest Ballet.

Get in touch with us today to learn about majoring in woodwinds at Western. Start a conversation with us about musical mentorship, degrees in music at Western and getting ready for a career as a woodwind performer, a music educator - or, like us - professional musicians sharing our knowledge and networks with the next generation of music students in the breathtaking Pacific Northwest.
