Celebrate WWU Scholars Week with two panels from the Department of Art & Art History. Join WWU Photo Now and Art History Showcase for presentations in Fine Arts 232 on Wednesday, May 13.

WWU Photo Now - 9 to 10:15 a.m.

Current Western students investigating and embracing photography in their work share their research through individual presentations. These span a wide range of subjects and styles, from alternative processes to digital practices and combinations of both new and old technologies. Students engage with diverse materials and approaches to create bodies of work that reflect the ever-evolving definitions of photographic media.

The panel will also address the importance of organizing, including the WWUSPE CLUB (Society for Photographic Education) as well as the critical role of exhibiting work both on and off campus.
