About the musical

"Into the Woods" is a musical about humanity, relationships, and lessons learned through the context of familiar fairy tales. Please read the full synopsis at MTI Shows. This production will feature a fifteen-piece orchestra comprised of students from the Western Symphony Orchestra. The process will begin with music rehearsals in the first week followed by staging. There will be movement, puppetry, and an opportunity for students to serve as understudies/swings as needed.

The production is directed by Heather Dudenbostel.

Students may observe or engage in choreographed intimate moments such as a single romantic kiss and/or prolonged romantic kissing and embracing. There will also be platonic physical contact such as hand holding, hugging, and possible kisses on the head, cheek or hand.

Conduct

We ask that if you accept a role, you will maintain professionalism in all rehearsals and performances by arriving on time, prepared to rehearse and learn as a vital member of the production.
