Kai Caemmerer ropes Golden Colt

WWU Art Department graduate Kai Caemmerer, currently pursuing his MFA at Columbia College Chicago, was recognized at the World College Students Photography Exhibition in Jiangxi, China, where his work won the 2014 Golden Colt Award.

The Exhibition is a new student competition in that aims to open up a dialog between international students of photography. Susan Dooley of Nassau Community College (New York) entered Caemmerer's work in the Exhibition, and took some of his work to the Pingyao Photo Festival this year in Shanxi, China with her exhibition, "Breaking Boundaries V".  Caemmerer won the "Grand Kim Ju Award" in the fine art category, which included a cash prize that will help him fund an upcoming trip to Europe to create new works.
