Kendra McLean



Dr. Kendra McLean is a private percussion instructor and freelance musician in Federal Way, Washington. Her diverse musical background has included performances with the Tacoma, Federal Way, and Phoenix symphonies, five weeks studying traditional hand drumming and gyil in Ghana, and recording the steel drum album "Panstraction” and the Bach marimba duet album "The Rosewood Notebook." Dr. McLean can also be heard playing marimba in her recording of "Land" by Takatsugu Muramatsu. She is currently the chair of the Education Committee for the Washington Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and has taught at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan, New England Music Camp in Maine,  and within the Federal Way, Auburn, and Tucson public schools.
