University Tenor/Bass Choir
Director of Choral Activities, Professor Timothy Fitzpatrick
Conductor, Choral Music Education, Dr. Angela Broeker
The University Tenor / Bass choir is a non-auditioned large ensemble that performs music composed for tenor and bass voices. Consisting of a combination of music majors, minors and non-majors, this ensemble is open to all university students. In addition to performing as a choir, the University Tenor/ Bass also perform pieces for mixed choirs with the University Treble Choir.
Students may enroll in this ensemble during any quarter at WWU. The ensemble meets Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00 - 2:50 pm in the Performing Arts Center. Credits are repeatable and may be used towards electives and total graduation requirements.
Singers who would like to perform in this ensemble are given a simple vocal diagnostic, used to determine placement in choir. Vocal Diagnostics will be given during the first day of class or by arrangement. The vocal diagnostic includes a simple range test and providing information about your choral/vocal background. Please visit our Ensemble Auditions page for more detailed information.
