About the composition

Bruce Hamilton constructed this piece from short videos of percussionists playing a phrase he provided, using instruments and environments of their choice.

"It's lo-fi and a bit humorous," says Hamilton of the work. "The performers are folks I've enjoyed professional relationships with over a few decades."

Instruments include traditional percussion instruments as well as whimsical items like glass bottles, rubber ducks, a bathtub, and a toy truck.
