WWU Band Festival

Date: Saturday, March 9th, 2019

What: The WWU Band Festival is a non-competitive festival for high school bands throughout Washington State. All participating bands will receive audio comments from 2 clinicians, participate in a clinic with a guest composer, and students will participate in masterclasses with WWU music faculty. In addition, all participating bands will attend a concert featuring the WWU Wind Symphony.

All festival participants will be expected to perform a set of music about 20 minutes long including one work composed by our visiting composer/clinician (TBA). Immediately following their performance, each band will have a clinic conducted by the WWU Director of Bands, Dr. Christopher Bianco, and the visiting composer/clinician.

Slots are available in the morning (8 AM – 12:30 PM) or afternoon (11:30 AM – 4 PM).

Cost: $200
