Master of Music, Violin Performance: Western Washington University

Bachelor of Music, Music Education, Western Washington University

Jeanette Wickell is a violinist, having performed in numerous chamber and orchestral groups in the Pacific Northwest, including Protea Chamber Ensembles and Bellingham Symphony Orchestra. She has been on the faculty at WWU since 2012 and has taught first and second year Aural Skills, The Art of Listening to Music, and Survey of Non-Western Music. She loves the details and puzzle-like challenges of music theory, and helping students unlock keys to understanding music by better seeing its underlying components.

Here she can be seen in her permaculture-style food forest back yard with one her three beloved cats, Gunther.
