High School Dance Festival

Postponed

The High School Dance Festival has been postponed until further notice.

Western Washington University hosts a Dance Festival at the beginning of each year for Washington State High School students.

We started the High School Dance Festival to help dancers and families understand how to choose the right path in college, one that supports career goals, passion for learning, and keeps dancers dancing!

Contact Susan Haines, Director of Dance at susan.haines@wwu.edu to schedule an online workshop for your studio.

If you are interested in a master classes and information about majoring in dance for your high school students and their families, we can schedule a private workshop for your studio.

We see so many students who thought they had to leave dance behind after high school. After spending time without classes, they soon realize that they need to be dancing, no matter what their major.
