There are many ways to get to WWU. We encourage alternative transportation to reduce the strain on the environment and limited parking accommodations. This also lets you enjoy views of the bay and Bellingham's notorious greenery a little more on your way here.
On the Campus Map, click the Features button at the top to view helpful features such as bus stops, bike racks, walking trails, dining locations, accessibility and labeled parking lots. Be sure to peruse our outdoor sculpture collection while you're here!

If you decide to drive
Please consider carpooling.
On the south end of campus, the C/CR lots have free parking on weekends and evenings (after 4:30pm)! The C lots are the largest university parking lots available. Bring a debit or credit card for the pay station at other times. If your destination is in the center or north end of campus, please allow yourself at least 20 minutes to get from your parking spot to your destination. WTA buses also stop here frequently so you can shuttle across campus without spending much time on your feet!
Off of North Garden Street, lot 6V next to the Viking Union is available all hours at an hourly rate. This is the closest all-hours guest parking to the Performing Arts Center. Take the elevator or stairs from the parking lot level to floor 6 to get to the main campus level. Bring a debit or credit card for the pay station.
Pay station lots
Other parking lots with pay stations are available only on weekends, and evenings after 4:30pm, or with a permit. You can purchase a permit online or at the Student Business Office in Old Main. Pay stations take debit or credit card only. See pay station rates.
