We're pleased to announce the legendary Mikhail Voskresensky is returning to perform at Western again!
Voskresensky was a professor and the chair of the piano department at the Moscow Conservatory until he fled Russia after its invasion of Ukraine. He has since continued performing and teaching in the USA.
He has performed in more than 60 countries and recorded over 60 discs, featuring the works of Mozart, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich. He is a recipient of the City of Moscow Prize (2011) and a Knight of Japan’s Order of the Rising Sun. Voskresensky’s students have been prize-winners on 130 occasions at international competitions, winning first prizes 57 times.
