Nick Hastings is a junior at western majoring in Tuba Performance with a minor in audio technology, music and society. Nick first began his musical studies at six years old when he played his father’s baritone in their basement. Since then, he has made his way to performing tuba and euphonium in various quintets, bands, and orchestras at both WWU and in the surrounding Bellingham area.
As Nick spent more time in Western’s music department, he was offered an assistant audio technician position in the department’s recording studio. It was there that he found a love for the recording arts and has since become one of the studio’s managers alongside pursuing a minor in audio technology, music and society.
Nick wants to share a big thank you with his professors, family, and friends. None of this would be possible without their love and support!
