Zach Becker wins Adobe global design competition

Zach Becker

WWU Design Department student and AS Publicity designer Zach Becker won the 2015 Adobe Design Achievement award in “Interactive Experience Media/Digital Publishing” for his work “Isolation” which combines animated typography and images to create a vivid narrative about space exploration.

Growing up in the bustling metropolis of Silt, CO (population 2,000) gave me an appreciation for nature as well as an abundance of free time. I often spent my time hiking with a camera, an activity that led me to crave creative expression. The exhilaration I feel as I’m creating never seems to dull--each new project is more exciting than the last as I learn new techniques and polish the preexisting. I want nothing more than to design forever, staring into the very pixels of creation (somewhat melodramatic).

Winners can gain mentorship from world-renowned designers, Adobe software, cash, and global recognition for their efforts.
