Allie Orozco, in collaboration with Emily Gantt, will perform a junior recital featuring works by Vincenzo Bellini, Leo Delibes, Ricky Ian Gordon, Richard Strauss, and Giuseppe Verdi. Allie Orozco is a junior Vocal Performance major from the studio of Mark Davies. Their academic pursuits include a German minor and various musical ensembles such as the Advanced Treble Chorale, Concert Choir, Vocal Jazz, and Western Voices. Throughout their time at Western, they have been the grateful recipient of the Western Scholars Award, the Don C. Walter Memorial Scholarship, the Hall Stout Memorial Scholar, and the Western Voices Scholarship. In addition, Allie has been an enthusiastic participant in the annual opera productions and opera scenes, including their most recent performance of Aunt Sue in Carlisle Floyd's Slow Dusk. Their post-graduation plans include relocating to their hometown of Black Diamond, Washington, to audition for graduate schools and open a local voice studio for aspiring young singers.
