Jazz Prof. Kevin Woods drops new album with Trio Linguae

album cover shows dark figures crossing a blurred urban night background

Though colleagues for many years in different configurations, trumpeter Kevin Woods, guitarist John Stowell and pianist Miles Black found inspiration in collaborating as Trio Linguae (Lin-gwee) through their collective sense of conversational, contrapuntal improvising and reflexive listening - harkening the spirit of duo and trio albums by Bill Evans, Jim Hall or Kenny Wheeler.

Their new album "Signals" is available at originarts.com.

"Woods' advanced execution and uncanny ability to unfurl extraordinary phrases make him a trumpeter with whom to reckon."
